The Screening Gap

How capable applicants can disappear before their skills are evaluated.

A short synthesis of published work on early hiring requirements. These are findings from other organizations, not measured Ablevate results.

A note on scope

The brief’s “20 minutes” refers to the first conversation. The full audit takes additional time agreed with the employer. “No software change” does not mean every setting stays the same: an agreed change may require updates to application settings or screening instructions.

Delaware’s figures describe its experience alongside other hiring initiatives. They do not show how much of the change came from removing degree requirements, or what an Ablevate pilot would achieve.
